Sweet, forward-going mare with potential seeks experienced 5⭐️ home With pain in our hearts we are offering our 11-year-old mare for sale. Due to a combination of lack of time and changed circumstances we are looking for another place for her. She is a nice, forward-going pony under saddle and likes to work. In handling she is well-behaved and social. She enjoys attention and can really become a companion for you. However she is a pony that needs clarity and consistency: if she is given the space, she will take it. When being mounted she can sometimes be a bit difficult, therefore we are looking for a rider who can deal with this calmly but clearly. She is less suitable for riding schools or inexperienced/beginner riders, but rather a very nice pony for someone with a bit more experience. She certainly has potential to progress further in her work. She likes a small jump and takes to it well, but needs further training in this. When riding out she goes along well in a group. Going out alone she still finds difficult; she is then a bit more focused on the herd. She is otherwise not easily frightened and is familiar with busy traffic and other stimuli. We have been to the beach with her, which she loved. She also has experience with desensitisation training and takes this very well; she does not startle and remains calm. In addition she has done a cross training, which she also picked up well. She is currently in a paddock paradise and is used to being outside a lot. We find it important that she also gets enough time outside every day at her new place. She has been wormed, vaccinated and seen the dentist every year. We are looking for a loving and suitable home for her where her welfare comes first. We consider a good match more important than the price.
