A COVERING of French Look van Erpekom Z This eyecatcher came unexpectedly onto our path some months ago. With the words of breeder Willy Ulenaers: “Let him jump once and then you can see whether you want to cover some mares with him,” he came into the stable here and he convinced us after two jumps even more than we ourselves had expected. Frenchy is a horse that steals your heart, whether you like piebald colouring or not. He has the reflexes of a cat, a magnificent foreleg, balance in the canter and an attitude that keeps astonishing us. On top of that his conformation makes us think that this is a horse with a lot of potential for sport and breeding. Furthermore he comes from a mare line with many sport horses, the best known descendant being Utah van Erpekom (John Whitaker). Since he covered a few mares at two years old already, we were able to go and look at some of his offspring. These all have sufficient size, a good conformation and a lot of balance in their movements. The jumping photo of the piebald foal is a French Look offspring of this year.
