Balouga Blue is a generous and striking grey gelding with an appealing presence. He has a nice front, strong connections and stands well on his legs. In addition, he has a correct foundation and a pleasant, cooperative attitude. What makes him extra interesting is the way he was raised. Balouga Blue was only started under saddle at a later age. His breeder gave him the time to further develop physically and mentally first and therefore kept him in the pasture longer. That calm approach gave him the chance to grow out at his own pace. The new owner has started him under saddle and he is now nicely started and pleasant to ride. He moves smoothly through all three gaits and shows good balance. He is still green in his training, but precisely that makes him interesting for someone who would like to work further with a young horse themselves. His canter is particularly appealing. He has a roomy, powerful canter with sufficient scope and a natural balance. He also shows a lot of quality when jumping. In his pedigree we find among others Baloutaire (Baloubet du Rouet), Caligula (Cornet Obolensky), Chacco-Blue and Lando, four stallions who themselves have jumped up to 1.60m at the highest international level. Several international show jumpers also come from the dam line.
