Registering is not the same as publishing. We first look together at whether and how your auction fits on PaardPlaats.

You register your auction
You fill in the form at the bottom of this page, including a link to your catalog or auction website. No account is needed.
We review the proposal together
We reach out, go through your catalog and show you how your horses would appear on PaardPlaats. That is the moment to raise questions and preferences.
Publication goes live
Once you are happy with the set-up, we switch publication on. From then on your auction horses appear in the marketplace and are kept up to date until the auction closes.

Filling in the form commits you to nothing and puts no horses online yet.

Working together

PaardPlaats does not replace your auction and does not take it over. The bidding, the terms, the contact with bidders and the settlement all stay with you. What we do is make sure your collection is found by people who are looking for a horse right now.

Questions about registering an auction

What information do you need to get started?

To start, a link to your catalog or auction website is enough, together with your organization's name and a contact person. The name and date of the auction edition help us, but are not required. You do not need to supply photos, banners or a complete list of horses at this stage.

What happens after I register?

We review your inquiry and get in touch. In that conversation we go through your catalog and show you how your horses would appear on PaardPlaats. Only once you are happy with the set-up do we switch publication on, so registering does not put anything online.

Can I keep my existing way of working?

Yes. You keep running your auction exactly as you do now, in your own system and on your own website. PaardPlaats is an additional place where your collection gets found; the bidding and the settlement stay with you.

How are changes to my catalog handled?

We check your catalog for changes every hour. New horses are added, edited details are taken over and withdrawn horses disappear, so there is no need to email us about every adjustment. It is not a live connection: the details on PaardPlaats can be up to an hour behind, which is why we always send visitors on to your own bidding page for the current state of the bidding.

Are my auction horses shown to buyers abroad as well?

Yes. Your horses are published in every language PaardPlaats supports, so a visitor from Germany, France, Sweden or Poland sees the listing in their own language. Amounts are also shown in the currency that suits the visitor, so nobody has to convert anything. Clicking through always leads to your own bidding page.

Will my auction horses be found through AI assistants such as ChatGPT?

Our listing pages are built so that search engines and AI assistants can read them: the details are in the page itself and are marked up with structured data. That makes it possible for an assistant such as ChatGPT to cite a listing when someone asks about that type of horse. We cannot promise your horses will be mentioned — which sources an assistant chooses is not ours to decide.

Can I register more than one auction edition?

Yes. If you run several auctions a year, they can all go through PaardPlaats. Register the next edition using the form, and we will agree arrangements for the following ones when we speak.

What happens once the auction has ended?

As soon as the auction closes we take the horses out of active promotion. That keeps expired listings off the site and stops visitors landing on an auction that is already over.
